Strongman Training

You've all seen World's Strongest Man on television; this is your chance to try out some of the events! Our specially equipped outdoor training area is the perfect place to take out your frustrations by throwing heavy stuff around!

This type of training improves strength in a very functional way, or in other words it transfers very well to the type of lifting encountered in everyday life and to many sports. Perhaps less obviously, strongman training has a huge effect on conditioning and will improve your cardiovascular and aerobic fitness far more effectively than traditional methods of aerobic exercise.

The sessions are structured in such a way that ANYONE can take part regardless of fitness level. The weights are adjustable to suit your current capabilities, and rest periods are relatively long to allow sufficient recovery to repeat each exercise a number of times with as heavy a load as you can manage.

 

We currently run one class per week, every Friday from 6.05pm - 7.05pm
